Been there 3 times for some business trips, 1 of them with my family. It was near the hotel so we spent 3 dinners. Excelent food for very reasonable prices. Very friendly service. View all feedback.
I`ve been to Thessaloniki several times in my travels. It was originally in the Glückstraße in Hamburg but has recently moved from there to Barmbeker Markt, just a few meters from the U-Bahn station Dehnhaide. This location places it central to major metro and bus lines and is quite convenient. This is a family restaurant and everything here is prepared with love. You are warmly greeted at the door and the experience starts there, you become, for a brief while, part of the family and the service is above reproach. The food is beautifully served and covers the entire range of Greek cuisine. I have never had an average meal at Thessaloniki. Every dish is exquisitely well prepared and attractively presented. Also, the prices put Thessaloniki in the medium-price-category. However, nothing on the menu costs more than €20. The wine list is good but don`t look for a gourmet wine. It covers the usual Merlots and Greek wines and I have never experienced an illadvised choice of wines on their list. It is all very good. Langages spoken at Thessaloniki are German, English and Greek so it is suitable for business visitors and tourists to Hamburg. The single unfortunate problem is that Thessaloniki, at this time, accepts neither credit cards or the EC Card. It is cash only. However, with prices for entreés averaging about €14 and nothing costing more than €20, I cannot imagine this should present much of an issue. In any case, there is an ATM just outside the restaurant and it is easily accessed.
The restaurant is located off in a residential settlement. we were able to sit outside with nice weather. even if the chairs and tables are not the latest, we felt comfortable. to welcome as well as to say goodbye there was free ouzo! the service was absolutely friendly. when you eat, you can't mug. very good dishes, everything fresh and the tzaziki a dream! Price/performance absolutely ok. there was even a free dessert in the form of an art mousse au chocolat. we have tried at least 5 Greek restaurants in hamburg lately and this was the best one. from my own a real secret tip when you put on good Greek food. we're coming back, all right!
In this Greek restaurant is always worth a visit. welcome and service always very friendly and eating the best quality to quite normal trips.
Our tribal smell!! we always like to go there. the warm reception and the price-performance ratio is simply not too torn! you feel at home right away. the many regular guests.A typical Greek menu. everyone finds something. all dishes can be varied, if necessary, which is very important for vegetarians. with good weather you can sit outside. all our friends were also enthusiastic. what do I have to say more?
Very friendly hosting, and as always delicious eating to sensible trips. highly recommended
