Close to central train station. Good quality. Large space distributed over two areas, both on street level. I could not safely order vegan and probably got non-vegan food. I had to disturb the only relatively friendly staff member nine ! times because the electronic menu is probably more for 'health '-oriented persons but not vegans. There are three categories on the electronic display: V — VE — V . Since a you must order on a display that neither tells you what the three categories mean and staff knows neither , b since the bread formerly non-vegan and maybe still non-vegan as well as c cow cheese can be added even of you chose 'vegan ' at the beginning as a word, not the symbols , you cannot trust the menu. Nobody in there can explain why some items are labelled and some are not labeled. The only comment i got was: »Most vegans do not like cream but there is no cream in your dish.« If you are vegan, it is impossible to get an order safely done. Also, your clothing will smell of fat because the air is full of it. Very good: You can opt-out garlic and choose spicyness levels. Updated from previous review on 2024-07-21

Vapiano has changed its system: You now order either at the table or at a self-service counter. You can also pay directly at the self-service counter. As usual, you receive a beeper for your order and can freely choose a seat in the restaurant. I found it a bit inconvenient that the drinks have to be picked up at the bar, which is located somewhere else in the restaurant and not near the order counter. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed my food and can recommend the restaurant.
