Donburi-ya - Hamilton

We absolutely loved everything we tried at this restaurant! We ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen and shoyu ramen, and both were delicious. The broth was flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the pork was amazing! We also tried the sushi and every piece was tasty. It's not common to find Unagi eel sushi in Hamilton, but the ones here were delicious! We would definitely come back again. The only downside is that the restaurant is not open for dinner or on weekends.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. It is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Hamilton for sure. Their ramen noodles are the best I have ever had in New Zealand! I have been to Auckland and Wellington, but the ramen here tops them all. I highly recommend the vegetarian spicy miso ramen, as well as the delicious donburi bowls with the perfect flavors. The portions are excellent, with a good balance of rice and salad. I wish they were open on Saturdays, as I work too far away to visit during the week, but I always make the effort to come here when I have time off. The staff are also incredibly friendly.

This restaurant serves real authentic Japanese cuisine. It is always bustling during lunchtime because the food is so delicious! The sushi, ramen, and donburi are all must-tries. You can even customize your donburi by adding extra rice or salad.

One of my favorite places in town for Japanese donburi, decent portions with fresh salads served. They also have a variety of sushi and ramen on the menu. Good place to have a cheap and satisfying meal.

Pretty nice ramen, have a tang to it. Ramen is springy, not too soft, not too hard. Love it! Tonkatus ramen. Oh and the Ramune carbonated soft drink is good too.
