Its been a long time since I have had better Sashimi that is artfully presented in that traditional Japanese style. We booked last minute and were sat right at the sashimi counter which was actually delightful as we watched them work their magic. We chose the Sono Tasting Course. Each dish was just an artwork on the plate. The service was friendly and professional and we left wonderfully satisfied! View all feedback.

Celebrating a 17th birthday so opted to try the six course taster experience. Only choice to make was which of the three mains you wanted out of duck, beef or cod. Then just sit back and enjoy an all round amazing experience. Warm welcome, excellent staff who explained what each dish contained, and the food. Oh the food. By the time dessert arrived we were replete, very good portion sizes allow you to enjoy each amazing dish, savour the flavours but not be left feeling too full
Saturday date lunch with my wife after the movies at Dendy Cinemas. As usual the food was beautifully prepared snd service was awesome. Shout out to our waiter, Tim who made for a great day. Dessert was a Chef's surpirse and was real treat. Will come again.
The service was well below standard. The waiter was critical and rude, the food was cold and, when returned to the kitchen, it was simply microwaved and returned. Dried out over cooked duck that cost the earth and never so much as an apology. The softshell crab was doggy, tasteless and colourless. The waiter had very poor knowledge of the menu and no idea of the Chef's specials. Considering we spent nearly $600, some service would have been nice. Never again! All 7 of us were bitterly disappointed. Diners beware. If you're after waiters with attitude and no knowledge of their job, poor tasting cold overpriced food and being rushed then you'll be happy.
Great atmosphere, lovely staff, beautiful food . Have visited Sono several times. Always enjoyed. Will be back
