Mackenzies Yorkshire Smokehouse

The restaurant is now under new management, and we had a fantastic experience thanks to Dave. We enjoyed delicious fish and chips, mushy peas, and tartare sauce, along with a pot of tea for two. The food was well-presented, plentiful, and served hot. We will definitely be returning to try more items from the excellent menu. Dave went above and beyond to make our meal special, and we are grateful for his attentive service. Thank you.

I regret to say that this restaurant is not as good as it used to be. We used to come here for a special occasion, but this time my fish and chips were just average and the tartare sauce spilled all over my chips! My wife had a decent fish sandwich, but it wasn't as good as before. Unfortunately, we won't be in a hurry to return.

Visited many times over the years and this now Seams to be struggling in the wrong direct,although pleasant enough staff the quality presentation and range is expensive for what is it and the taste is mediocre I visited on a cold wet and windy day which may help to explain many things but not again on a hurry Saying that, with a few tweeks and looking at of from the outside from an objective point this place could be amazing again…baby steps !

Excellent service and generously portioned, top notch food, cooked to perfection. Nice touches like well dressed side salad and the smoothies are the best I've tasted anywhere, packed with veg. Thank you, we'll be back.
