What Cierra Witting doesn't like about Thai Naramit:
this restaurant has the worst customer service from all Thai restaurants I waited for my eating about 30 minutes and no one has come to me and talked to me, they are just looking for money not for the service View all feedback.
Been here for a few times. The food is amazing and the service is always so friendly. It has become one of my favourite restaurant in Brisbane.
Good food. Great service. Will come back just for that. Best service I've had for as long as I can remember. Sum tom salad had great flavour and choo chee curry beef was very tender.
Being carnivores, we have had a little too much of meat the past days and was looking forward to having some greens and seafood. This hidden gem is a frequently visited by my brother and his family (as I was told) because of their good food. It was short drive from my brother's place and gamely went with them to try out their offerings. The restaurant is a casual dining place; simple but clean and had a welcoming ambiance. We ordered a variety of dishes but what hit me on the spot was their soft shell crabs; it was delicate yet had that crunch which perfectly compliments it's excellently seasoned crabs, simply scrumptious ???? I also love the beef salad which had a vinaigrette that gives an explosion of sour, sweet, spicy combo and just about the right tang. Actually, all other offerings we tried were good, including one deep fried pork cutlets that were off the menu. Prices were quite affordable too - value for money ????????????????????????
Love the Thai fish cakes. The curry we got was delicious but sweet. I found the stir fried beef with vegetables could be improved. The broccoli and carrots were still raw and it has a strange 'gas' taste. The beef was tasty but felt something was strange with the texture. Overall it was okay, prob better than other Thai restaurants around the area.
My Italian dining partner Dom recommended Thai Naramit for lunch. It's a 5 minute drive from Racecourse Rd with ample parking in the carpark behind the restaurant. I was surprised at how cosy and tiny this quaint restaurant was inside. Looking out I could see a substantial number of tables set for al fresco dining. The friendly waitress shows us to our table then delivers iced water and the menus shortly after. Wanting a light lunch we decide on coconut prawns, chicken satay, beef pad Thai and chicken pad Thai. Dom recommends the Thai papaya salad, whole fried barramundi and soft shelled crab for dinner. I make a mental note to book for a table inside on my next visit for dinner. My family would like the decor and cool air conditioning. Our entrees arrived after 20 minutes. The prawns and satay chicken were piping hot and delicious. On seeing we had finished the entrees the waitress informed the chef to prepare our pad Thai. I appreciate this show of professionalism. Many Oriental chefs would simply complete our order and our small table would be loaded up with food which are fast turning cold. My chicken pad Thai was nice, perhaps a bit too sweet, but I enjoyed it. Dom tried but was unable to finish his noodles. I rate this lunch on what we ordered today at 3.5. The decor and good service pushes the rating up to 4.0. The main courses for dinner look more interesting. I would like to try Dom's recommendations together with some curries on our next visit.
