The staff at this restaurant were friendly and the food was decent, but not outstanding. The quality of the food did not justify the price of £17 for a Sunday lunch - I would have valued it at £8.50 at most. It's disappointing because we had considered becoming regular customers. View all feedback.
Visited here on 29th September. Have been coming here on a Friday evening for the past 18 months for a few drinks with an old friend. Maybe not the best of customers or the most lucrative but we are customers. Initially had to wait for the barmaid in the front bar to finish her conversation with her friend before we could get served. Subsequently listened to her telling her colleague that on a previous night she wanted to close so she just ran the customer out of the bar and closed up! And then low and behold at 10:40 she informed the owners !!!!! that she was going to close the bar and did so. Who owns and runs this business? Will not be going back here
We held a wake for my dad at the Woodman. Julie, Dale and their team could not have been more kind, caring and considerate. They made a difficult day much more bearable and removed a lot of stress from us as a family organising the wake. I would highly recommend the pub for wakes and any other happier occasions.

This pub has a great atmosphere and a charming venue, but the only letdown is the limited selection of beers on tap and the unfriendly female bar manager. I've visited four times on weekend evenings and have been abruptly asked to leave each time, with drinks being poured away at 10:55.
