Tasty food, excellent service, plus vegan options! Also has an enjoyably busy but not frantic atmosphere and you wont wait ages for your food as you do in so many restaurants. Staff are always lovely and friendly. View all feedback.
What Nancy G doesn't like about Sawak Cafe:
Located in shopping area, with affordable prices. Quick service. Could use a little more time in raising the customer experience by having table service. Good value. View all feedback.
Great food, served quickly and no excitement. It was a cheaper and cheerful place, but he did not disappoint when the food came. The food quality was high and I was satisfied with the freshness of all used ingredients. Roasted chicken was straight from the fryer and pipes hot. There was enough to be too much for two people who had just come back from a whole day of the tourist day without lunch. We wanted us to annoy ourselves for under $ 50 dollars. Grief Food: Nasi lemak with roasted chicken. Chicken curry with rice Roti with curry sauce 600ml Refreshing Drink Grief Total price $ 31 and a tail of a steal for dinner. Would definitely go back. Grief Had 5/5 if the design was not so loud under the front door. A small consolation for a very busy dinner.
I went 17/2 for dinner on our first visit to Hobart due to good reviews on Zomato, and we were very disappointed with the meal. We had a chicken Laksa soup that would have to be the worst I've ever had. Turtled like slightly flavored water. Even adding the chillie paste from the container on the table could not bring life into the plate. The Nasi-Lemak was also average in taste. Not sure who did cook the cooking this night. With only 4 guests at the time we were there, it was not busy at all.
The Sawak Cafe is a small place that seems pretty busy, it was when I was there on a Tuesday evening, with many people who come to order, take or dine. I went for the satay noodles with chicken flour, which was very decent and for a great price (11.50). Although the place has not much atmosphere and I had better Satays, I can not say that I had better for this price. Everything and everything would recommend it for a light night.
We had a breakfast of champions at Sawak Cafe! Spicy Har Mee with prawns, chicken, tofu and two types of noodle. We may be smack bang in the middle of Hobart, but it was so delicious it transported us back to the hawker stalls of Kuala Lumpur! forkandfoot.com
What a nice surprise! The Asian rice and pasta slowed in me and came to this little cafe. Grief I first was skeptical, but when we approached, I could smell the wok! We ordered Laksa, Kwai Teo and chicken rice to share. Grief All dishes came out with great taste and taste. Although some critics say that it is not totally authentic, the flavors are definitely there. Plus! The price point was great, all dishes are under 13 US dollars! Grief Will come back when I visited Hobart again!
