We have met friends for lunch here countless times and it's one of my favourite places. Friends like the steak, but I enjoy the chicken parmigiana. sometimes we share a pizza, the Volcano being spicy and delicious. Twice our order got lost and our working friend had to chase it as we'd waited 30 minutes, but try to order before noon. What User doesn't like about Telegraph Hotel Restaurant:
We stopped here one evening for a bite to eat. We'd been eating all day and just wanted something light, we popped in here as it offered $5 pizzas on a Thursday night. We ordered a normal size pizza anyway as the $5 pizza was a small one. Staff were friendly but the place was noisy and there weren't many seating options available so we perched ourselves in the window to people watch. An average experience overall. View all feedback.
Good cheap food. But they didn't have the origin games tuned in correctly so had to leave. If you are going for a night out the place has a great vibe.
Looking for a place to grab a quick bite in Hobart and we ended up at the Telegraph Hotel, when we arrived in the evening it was relatively quiet with a few groups of young guys around playing pool and having a few drinks. Staff were reasonably helpful and we organized a tab, a few drinks and a menu. Not a lot to choose from but very cheap! Choose from a $5.00 schnitzel or $10 will get you Palma's with chips and salad (you can also choose a topping of choice, I had volcano!) you can also have a burger or Pizzas for $12. The meals were a little disappointing but eatable, the palmas were a little dry (maybe too long under the grill) and the chips a little cold. By the time we had finished the place was getting loud and busy... could have sat there and had a few more beers whilst people watching and watching all the sport going on on the many screens around the wallsWas relaxing!
Best pub in hobart city!!! atmosphere, staff, food and location all ticks the right boxes... have special nights on various food and drinks...
This is my spot! A friend and I had just started our year of traveling through Australia, and chose Tassie as our first destination.
