On Dong Chinese Restaurant - Honolulu

***3.5 STARS*** I've always been intrigued with fusion cuisine and Korean-Chinese food has been on my mind lately.

I've been on the hunt for really tasty Samsun Jjamppong (Spicy seafood noodles) ever since the place I use to go to closed down a few years ago.

I had had a craving for jja jang myun for a while, and after looking up that On Dong has great reviews on their Korean-Chinese food, I decided to give this

A very good friend recommend that we try this place and it was a great find. It is an interesting menu of North Chinese Korean. There is an oblivious mix of what you would recognize as Chinese, along with Korean dishes with more focus on the Chinese. You just need to see the menu to understand. They immediately know that it is Korean Chinese when they bring you banchan of kimchi, takuan, but also raw onions with blackbean sauce. We ordered the seafood Jjajangmyeon, Pork and Chives, and Gan Poong Chicken on the basis of a recommendation that I have seen when looking at their food pictures on Yelp. All were excellent and I would recommend to others to do the same when your first time goes there. Our food quickly came out of the rocket and was freshly hot. All dishes were very delicious and also satisfying. In addition, the ladies were there working super friendly and made you really welcome and appreciated. I'm already planning my return visit to other courts I'm trying.
