Steakhouse, with its downtown location offering a much better ambiance compared to the Westheimer spot, has left some diners disappointed with their entrees, particularly the steaks. Despite high expectations, the quality of the ribeye cuts seemed subpar, leading to tough and dense meat. However, others have raved about the dry-aged A5 wagyu steak on a salt block, as well as the ribeye and filets. The side dishes such as wild mushrooms and brussel sprouts have been highly recommended, along with the cheesecake and creme brulee for dessert. The service has been praised for its excellence, making it a fine dining experience for many. Some diners have also noted the extensive wine and Single Malt Scotch Whisky selection, along with the impressive decor and varied dining room options. Despite some bumps in the road, such as burnt potatoes and disappointing steaks on certain visits, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse continues to impress with its top-notch service and delicious food options.
All around 5 stars. Aged ribeye was top notch, also ordered a 3.5lb lobster!!
Delicious food. Steak cooked perfectly. Excellent service
The restaurant was slammed but the staff was still GREAT. The food was definitely no worth the price, ribeye was VERY fatty and chewy. Sides were ok but nothing to rave about. Best part of the meal was the dessert, pecan pie.
Ultra fine dining experience. Service was excellent end the food outstanding.
Service was amazing! Girardo was very knowledgeable and really knew what he was talking about. Food was fantastic, 10/10.
