I had this special and it was really good, the best beef stew I've had. The coffee was excellent as well. As other reviewers stated, the prices are high. Nice atmosphere. View all feedback.
What Luella Nienow doesn't like about Burns Beach Cafe:
At over $90 for 3 coffee's and 3 lunch selections I would of rather stayed at home for a sandwich. Firstly it took 3 attempts to get some milk for one of the coffee's which was asked for as a long black with a top up of milk, all coffee was warm and not hot. Then there was a 40 minute wait for lunch. S View all feedback.

On our bikes good stop over for shared meal and coffee. Lovely spot in the sun before ride home along coast
We have been to this cafe many times and have always found the food ok for a snack but a little expensive for what you get. We went yesterday as we had relations visiting from overseas. We also had taken our miniature poodle. We sat outside in the sun and ordered our meals and within 10 mins the downpour came on and we moved inside under the roof but still outside. A waitress came and told us we were not allowed under cover as we had the dog. We could only sit under the shade cloth. She told us to move out. In disbelief I said it's raining. Her answer was it's because of this you can sit under the shade cloth. By now we were drenched and so was our food. I decided to make a run for the car and leave the dog there and come and eat what I could of my soggy food. The family once again moved inside and on my return we picked through the food and ate what we could. The coffee's were now cold and disgusting. I do understand that dog are not allowed inside but the only difference between these two places was a full roof and plastic curtains around the sides. We were not in the cafe. To add insult to injury a staff member then proceeded to move tables around us and made so much noise dragging them on the paving, we could not have a conversation. In total disgust we left. We will never return and it's a pity as it's has an awesome view but I guess they have no competition and don't care about regular customers
We love to support local business but we walked in and the owners and staff (4) kept talking and didn't acknowledge we even existed. We had to ask to be served. In the tight economy we live in, this terrible service is not up to standard. We will choose to go somewhere else next time. Such a shame as the location is great.
