The first time I went with a friend and it was great because sadly for the restaurant but great for us it wasn't crowded which meant we could have a good conversation. The food was delicious and you can take any left over food home. The second time I went was with family which included one 10 year old child. Once again it was great and we all enjoyed out meal. What Judy H doesn't like about Himalayan Nepalese Restaurant & Cafe:
This is one of our usual 'go to ' restaurants 'but on our last visit iwas just a little below standard. Service slow and food not as good as usual. Even their tandoor lamb cutlets which I think are the best in town, were not as tasty. Pity, but we will go back as the food is usually so good. View all feedback.
A bit pricey this time around.6th visit here good & friendly service momos we're very dry, out of 3 main dishes Prawn curry, butter chicken, beef masala, the prawn dish was the best as the prawns were cooked in the sause and I still don't know why restaurants think they can get away with so many dishes that they cook chicken and beef separately then add it to the curry sauce. The beef was either rump qubes and was dry, tough and flavourless! Same for the chicken and I'm afraid I think it will be a while till we return unless they change their ways
Have visited this place about 8-9 times in last few years at the Inglewood joint – great value for money restaurant. They have other franchises/ restaurants in Vic Park and Mosman park with the same name. Good and friendly staff, decent ambience and very good food. The food was delicious and flavourful, though one of my chicken dish was bit overcooked (there’s room for improvement to be great-amazing food). The food tastes authentic and the momos and the dipping sauce is just amazing, the sauce is so yum that I always ask for extra. I make sure I order momos and lollipop chicken every time I visit this place. They also offer a lunch thali deal for $19, which is pretty amazing – comes with 3 dishes, naan bread, rice and a drink. Few dishes that I have tried and can recommend and are also their speciality dishes are Momos, Lollipop Chicken, Chicken Sekuwa, Goat Curry and the Lamb chops. They have an extensive menu and offers a good range of vegetarian / non vegetarian food. They can work on their ambience, I mean the interiors to make the restaurant look more vibrant and happening. As an added benefit, they are on the entertainment book so you get 25% of your total bill.
The Manager is ever so friendly and nothing is too much to cater for. Love the food and free BYO wine. Definitely will be back.
Whole experience was great , the food, the service ,would go back again. Vegetarian meals were delicious, spacious restaurant, efficient & friendly staff, Thanks
Our group of six enjoyed a delicious meal here on Friday night. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. which were very generous servings, and could not fault the friendly, efficient service, our waitress was gorgeous (according to my husband). The ambience was lovely, plenty of room and not too noisy. Just pleasant soft music playing in the background. We will be back again just for another meal of creamy prawns and the beautiful beef and chicken curries. An added bonus was being able to use our Entertainment Book vouchers for a discount. We all highly recommend this great little restaurant.
