What Stacy Kunde doesn't like about Birdrock Cafe:
Unfortunately my experience here was very poor. We went for dinner , we served the wrong meals and when pointing this out the waitress simply said “I don’t know what they put in it” no apology and didn’t try to rectify the situation . The...wait time for food was very long despite there being not many people now if the food was worth it I wouldn’t mind however my gnocchi was burnt and the sauce wasn’t not appealing t... What a great place Mexican night was wonderful. Steph made us the greatest drink ever, try the Hummer for dessert, we gave her recipe and she made it for us, we loved it and it was a great finish for the night. Loved the place so much we went back the next night. Fried chicken is amazing. We come from America originally and have to say most authentic Mexican and best fried chicken we have had in Oz and we have been here since 1997.If you visit Torquay don't miss this place it rocks, great service, great food and wonderful atmosphere. Thanks Steph, keep up the great work, you and Bird Rock ROCK xoxo Jen and Dave
You have to try it yourself! Great atmosphere, staff and music! Food was delicious! The place instantly places a smile on your face!
The kneelos (and a biscuit rider) decided to eat locally. Initially we were after coffee, but the menu is very inviting. The selection was very good and the full breakfast defeated our regular "fang".The breakfast burrito was good and the other 3 breakfasts were met with no complaints.Coffees were quick and very good. This place would be our first choice when visiting the surf coast again.
My husband and I went to bird rock cafe for Mexican night, food was amazing and so was the service. Will be back for sure! ????
Bird Rock Cafe is an iconic part of the Jan Juc beach culture. It has everything you need after a relaxed swim at the beach. They have fresh and varied styles of food from fish burito's to individual pizza's and even jelepeno poppers (yowee!). Good selection of beers and ciders or a big brecky and coffee. Nice! There's always something interesting to see up on the walls, cool tunes playing and fascinating people watching to enjoy while you sit back and wonder how the world could possibly be so crazy.Enjoy!
