We enjoyed our dinner so much at the Fat Hen that we ended up having lunch brunch on the way out of town. We stayed at the Sanctuary and arrived a day before our gang so we went off Island for a little local flavor. read more.

I ordered the meatloaf dinner and it was awful. The meatloaf was as thick as a slice of bread the potatoes were too thin and the collards had way too much vinegar in them. The place is so dark that you can barely see your food. The prices are way too high. I am a local here on Johns Island and I have given this place at least three chances. All of them were disappointing. I won't be going here again read more.
