Remarkable friendly service, very good authentic regional cuisine, probably the best Pils of the country, and the most casual place in Karlsruhe. Not for free a hit on TripAdvisor. In any case, a gastronomic highlight in Karlsruhe if you want to know how it lives in Karlsruhe. View all feedback.
What Daphney Smith doesn't like about Rote Taube:
A very student flair awaits you in the Red Taube. The menu is neatly filled, and the portions are very plentiful. Tastefully there is nothing to complain in the red dove, but nothing to emphasize. Everything is pleasant and at the prices that are very favorable, you can absolutely no longer expect. The service is friendly and works quickly. For younger people a very good location for warming beer : View all feedback.
Utterly overwhelmed by the hospitality extended to our family visiting from USA - the manager- perhaps Willie - , bartender and wait staff treated us like royalty! The currywurst (my first time) was delicious and so flavorful. This biergarden comes with the highest recommendation for anyone looking to experience quintessential German food and hospitality.
We have been coming here for years. This has the benefit that a table is reserved for us, our drinks' preferences known and the service is super friendly and personal - we will miss Tine who is about to leave the Taube for a new job. There is a menu of diverse fixed dishes plus daily specials shown on blackboards around the pub. These range from a soup of the day (large bowl with bread for €3.50), a salad (varies with the season) to traditional meat, veg and side dishes (usually around €10). They do Flammkuchen, pasta, schnitzel but also a range of salads (definitely to be classed as mains - come with fresh bread). Sporting events are shown live on a big screen and they regularly host music acts. A good pub.
