Oasis Bar and Restaurant - Karnāl

While going to Chandigarh from Delhi by Haryana Roadways Volvo Bus, the bus stops at the Oasis Fast Food/Bar & Restaurant run by Haryana Tourism. The place is nice - neat and clean. Public conveniences in plenty - separate for ladies & gents. One can take quick bites in the self-service restaurant or enjoy chilled beer in the adjoining one. Quality of food can be improved, however, they are not much pricey. There are other small outlets selling fresh juices and other items. A nice place for a short break on long journey, particularly when with family.

The place is perfectly located right in the middle of the Delhi chandigarh GT road at Karnal. Its government run.Has the usual selection of food items from indian chinese and south indian. Food is average but the restaurant is quite and the washrooms clean.

The Oasis was our first pit stop on our Grand road trip from Chandigarh to Mumbai. The Toilets were clean, and the tea was hot. Didn't eat anything else here.The standard of the restaurant has improved since I last visited it last year.Hopefully it remains the same

This is the regular place where we halt on our way back from Chandigarh/ Punjab ... Has decent parking space, clean toilets, shopping arcade (liberty shoes, rice, fresh juice corner, pickles & preserves, toys, books, snacks etc) , ok food in the dining room at affordable rates ...they also have a separate restaurant and few rooms near the lake in case you want to stay overnightOne of the better places by Haryana Tourism, most of the Volvo buses also stop here!There is also a petrol pump and pollution check center next t Oasis in case your car wants a refill ...

This restaurant is a pit stop for the Haryana Roadways Chandigarh-Delhi-Gurgaon Volvo service. Occasionally, they also stop at Karnal Lake Cafe. The restaurant offers a buffet meal with a few South Indian and continental dishes, although they are quite expensive for the quality. I have tried the veg cutlet, sandwich, and burger, but found them to be overpriced for the taste. A colleague of mine even received a stale burger once. There is also an American corn seller at the restaurant, but the prices for the corn are very high. The washrooms are clean but not the cleanest. Overall, there are much better dining options along the highway if you have a choice.
