May Garden Chinese Restaurant

I visited this restaurant on October 24th, 2015 and was disappointed to find that many of the dishes I wanted to order were not available, including a prawn omelette. Instead, I ended up with a large serving of special roasted rice that was bland and lacking in shrimp or eggs. The portion size was smaller than expected and the food did not meet my expectations. The pineapple was tasteless, the meat was tough, and the sauce was watery. The beef was also hard and lacking in flavor. The satay was tough and the sauce was bland. Overall, I was not satisfied with my meal and felt that it was not worth the $50 I spent. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant in the future.

This is the only Chinese restaurant in Kelmscott and it appears to be quite popular for its takeaway service. However, don't expect a quick turnaround for your order. The last few times we ordered takeaway from here, it took around 40 minutes. The food is okay, with a good amount of vegetables and less meat.

I have ordered takeout from this restaurant several times. The food is always very fresh and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the Sweet and Sour Pork and BBQ spare ribs.

Ordered take away for me and my parents and my toddler. Was ready when told it would be and was very fresh and delicious. Very happy with our meal, thank you

Ordered takeaway from here 24th oct 2015I couldn't even order half the things I wanted to because they weren't available, not even a prawn omelette could I order., no king prawn cutlets & there was another.I ended up with large Special fried rice..was bland, no prawns or chicken in it the container was a small one when I ordered large.Pork & pineapple was so bland, meat tough & sauce extremely runny.Beef supreme meat tough again a little taste but not much.& Satay beef.... bit spicy tough meat again but sauce was like "floury"You know meat is tough from Chinese when you need to cut with a knife.Used to love going there, but never again a waste of $50
