What Cynthia C doesn't like about Montparnasse Cafe:
The owner can be a bit abrupt and the service can be slow, but it adds to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The ambiance is delightful. The mushroom croissant was tasty, but the cafe latte could use some improvement. View all feedback.
Beautiful small place right on the street ken, with sweet workers, delicious coffee and crisp cake!
We drove here after the kensington palast closed at 4 o'clock (winter timings) unfortunately closes the warm kitchen of montparnasse at the same time we had to serve for coffee and a reheated sausage roll which was quite good, we wish even harder that we had found the kitchen open they serve a series of crepes and salates and sandwiches. but as soon as the kitchen closes, for an hour they can be hot coffee and baked or sandwiches that are on the regals the place is very cozy and I love the sitting style. I would like to return for a hot meal.

Randomly stumbled across this cute French inspired cafe one afternoon, hidden away in a quiet street just off Kensington High Street. Lots of seating inside, but also covered street side seating as well. Service is friendly and attentive. We had a pot of tea with two tarts, one raspberry and one lemon. The tarts were tasty although felt the crust was a bit hard and tough not as crumbly as I would've like. Decent quality for London but not comparable to those I've eaten in Paris. Fairly expensive too, hence the 4 stars.
A delightful French patisserie, with all the lip- smacking authentic pastries! Loved the very old-world interior! Prices were very reasonable too, comparing with other bakeries in the area. The waffle was one of the best I ever tasted. Worth every calorie : Highly recommended!
