On a hot, sunny summer day this is the best place to go for a couple of drinks! They have a terraced patio that backs onto Lake Ontario and there always seems to be a breeze - even on the stickiest of days. My husband and I live in Kingston - so we'll park downtown, walk onto the ferry (so that we don't have to wait in line with the car) and head over when we're in the mood to hit up a patio. From the patio, you can... View all feedback.
What Sasha Palmer doesn't like about The Wolfe Island Grill:
This restaurant could be on your list of a pit stop when coming into Wolfe Island for a day outing. There is a lot of seating space with a beautiful view of the lake. The food is good for when you are super hungry The prices are just around the budget mark. Recommended for the next time you land up in Wolfe Island! View all feedback.
Have a quick lunch before returning to Kingston. The food was great! Your poutin is so different, it has red Thai curry and offers a little spice. Her burger is on a Ciabatta beer and added a little different flavor to him. Her watermelon salad was so refreshing, especially on a hot summer day! There was not much of a waiting because they have a large terrace in the back. Would definitely recommend, here on a summer day for a drink and a bite!
The staff was amazing! The view was beautiful and right on the ferry. Food was good, definitely for the burgers.
I went to her new location on Princess Street in Kingston this afternoon (it opened this morning) and it was great! I ordered the chicken and loved her. It was fresh, hot, full of taste and the serving size was generous. It was just the same as the island, just a lot closer to home. I prefer this to other fast food or take out options in the area. The gentlemen who worked were very friendly and could tell me about all the delicious things on the menu. I can't wait to go back and try more. Overall my experience was 10/10!
Again and again you come over a hidden jewel; a place to eat that makes everything right. This is rare nowadays. Wolfe Island Grill is one of these places. My wife and I visited the city and we stopped here on Saturday afternoon. The food (we both had the Grilled Chicken Club) was from this world. I don't want to. It comes on a baguette with delicious cheese and many frits that are amazing. Whoever is the cook gives them an increase as they really know what they do! The waiter was also exceptional, funny guy with a beard. Very friendly and helpful. I can't think high enough of this place. Prices are appropriate for an island. I think we paid about $15 each, but you definitely get your money worth as its full chicken breast, bread, cheese, pommes and its at a level that is 5 stars. Some high-end hotels could not even have something delicious. I recommend you fall into this place when you are on Wolf Island. Well made owners, chef and staff. You did our day!
My wife son and I decided to take a weekend to spend some time in Kingston as that is where we have a family member. My wife forced me to go to Wolfe Island III. (Sorry, I'm not good with boats and the Ferry). My son wanted to go to the water and we stopped here as I was starving. My son HATES poutines which I ordered along with a beer (Because I love both). After we ate there he said it was epic and ate all the leftovers on the way back (Little jerk as I wanted to eat more). My wife and I said it was so worth the $9.00 for the small portion we got as it was amazing!!!!!! I'm booking in a few months to come back. A 5 hour drive for me, 6 hours with the ferry but well worth it. To the owner; I will be back and face my ferry fears (water and boat) for the food. I hope I can spend an afternoon on the patio as there was a lighting warning when we were there. Awesome patio by the way. See you in the summer of 2023! (Can't book the hotel until October/November) Regards, Stephen Zylawy
