While some patrons rave about exquisite dishes like Greek pizza and expertly crafted cocktails, others recount troubling service discrepancies, particularly concerning racial bias. Guests have noted delays in service and food, with some dishes lacking freshness and the creative flair expected. The inviting setting, complemented by outdoor dining options, captivates many, but attention to dietary restrictions stands out positively. Overall, this venue offers potential, yet its service and food consistency can leave much to be desired, making it a place of both delight and disappointment.
My wife went to the restaurant with a friend. She is quiet and doesn't like to complain. However, her friend tried the steak sandwich and noticed that it was not up to standard. The chef came out and seemed uninterested in fixing the issue. Her friend had a similar experience with a steak sandwich to go last week. If they can't get it right the first time, I don't see the point in paying premium prices for subpar service. It will be a while before I consider going back.
We have recently dined in this restaurant. When I made the reservation, I was told that we had a table upstairs. as the first guest and from the city I had no idea what that meant. the upper floor is a small room. as we were, there were two big parties and two tables of four. one of the big groups was so loud that it was impossible for our party of four to continue a conversation. we asked to be moved, but there were no tables at the top level. this great party continued to open a window, which led to very cold drafts in the escaping area. when the management asked to close the window, there was sung in her misfortune. eating was just okay. I ordered the gnocchi. on the menu there was no notice that this dish was sharp. for me, the spicy was too much and led to the fact that I could not eat my meal. I would not return to this restaurant. on a positive, our waiter, sebastian, was excellent.
We ate in a room with a very large group that ruined our eating experience. check them before they book where they sit. the upper dining room is not great!
We visited on the first day of autumn for an evening meal to celebrate an immobility contract. it was the first really cool day of the year and the restaurant was cold (I wish I would bring my cashmere package. the country music was also something. loud and jarring. the food was good (very tasty maul dicks,! but the service was uneven. there was no water offered or brought (we had to ask, in the middle and the supplemental brot came with our escapes after we had finished our appetizers. the server asked how our escaped were after we had eaten quite finished, and when we finished our escaped, we felt hastily to settle and leave the bill, please keep them non-dairy milk for their customers who want coffee or tee and not/not eat milk. it is a small thing, but it also allows this diners to finish their meal in a cozy fashion. we give mettawar another attempt, but it was a rather disappointing night for us.
My husband and I celebrated his birthday with a dinner at Mettawas Station. The food was delightful and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. The service was outstanding. I can't praise it enough. We will definitely be returning!
