Contribute FeedbackThis restaurant has received mixed reviews from customers. Some have complained about overpriced side items and issues with certain dishes being cold or overcooked, while others have praised the exceptional service and delicious food, particularly the steak. The Old Hickory seems to be a great option for special occasions, with top-notch service and a unique ambiance. On the other hand, Oscar's is a popular spot for brunch, but be aware that they do not accept reservations, so seating is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Despite some inconsistencies, both restaurants seem to have their own strengths and weaknesses.
Like many upscale steakhouses, service seems to be paramount at Old Hickory.
I recently spent a night in Orlando and decided to stay at the Gaylord Palms resort.
Ok-this used to be my favorite placeBut after my 4th visit, I'm officially done.
Hostess seated us promptly. Breakfast choices are buffet or menu - we ordered off the menu. Healthy choices are noted on the menu and I had the avocado and poached egg on toast. The entree was delivered within 20 minutes and was served hot. The menu prices are commensurate with a Waldorf Astoria but a bit pricey for the Orlando area.
Wonderful experience. Food was perfectly cooked. Waiters were extremely attentive. Can't wait to go back.
