What a lovely evening with plenty of staff, fast efficient service, good choice of menu and BYO so wine was great too and whole evening economical and lovely. Recommend as local Chinese for small groups, very nice. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Jade Pavilion Chinese Restaurant:
Ordered special fried rice, garlic chicken and vegetables, and Sichuan prawns to take away. The fried rice was good but the rest of the meal was a big disappointment. The chicken had overcooked vegetables which were almost soggy. The prawns were bathed in oil. The order came with the usual complimentary prawn crackers but the packet was smaller.Jimmy (the usual waiter) was not there and the food was so different from... View all feedback.
We thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes at this restaurant. The Mongolian beef, spicy salted chicken, lemon chicken, spicy sour prawns, and roast pork with plum sauce were all delicious in terms of flavor and texture. The service was outstanding - warm, friendly, and efficient. We couldn't find any faults with this place.
The restaurant has long tables set with neatly folded napkins. Each dish is artistically garnished with animal-shaped carrot carvings. The deep-fried squid is coated in a crispy batter and mixed with chili, spring onions, and shallots. The duck fried rice is flavorful, oily, and perfectly charred. The sweet and sour pork features a crispy batter covered in sauce, combined with hearty chunks of vegetables and pineapple. Overall, a delicious dining experience with creative presentations.
Lunch takeout from Jade Pavilion Chinese restaurant. One word sums up their lemon chicken dish... YUM!!! Don't hesitate to try this Chinese restaurant. Always has lunch specials too friendly ambiance if dining in.5 out of 5
Ordered the take-away Dinner Pack 1 for $39 consisting of four large steamed dim sims, sweet and sour pork, chicken and vegetable and fried rice. Steamed dim sims were pretty good but didn't come with soy sauce. The chicken and seasonal vegetables were very bland and the chicken weirdly soft but tasted overall ok. The sweet and sour pork meat was heavily coated in batter. The sauce was very tasty and presented well. The fried rice was fine although a little plain. Often Chinese food makes me thirsty and although it didn't straight away, I did a few hours later. Although pretty bland overall, would still try again and try some different dishes.
Consistent, decent Chinese which isn't so easy to find in this area! Have eaten in taken out both are pleasant experiences. Customer service is always friendly. Don't have any particular recommendations of meals but good ol' westernised favs haven't been overly oily or sweet which is only a good thing!
