Steet level entrance with counter selling dim sum mock meats. You walk downstairs to enter the restaurant in the basement of the building. Useful events noticeboard. Well stocked free bookshelf. Family run. Super friendly owner staff. Full menu in English. Wonderful soups. Inexpensive for what you get. Really cannot fault Treasure I have been visiting there for many years sometimes with big groups of business friends... View all feedback.
What Tobin Wehner doesn't like about Treasure Vegetarian:
We have visited this restaurant several times, particularly in the morning, as there are not many other vegetarian restaurants open at 8 a.m. The food is average, with prices typical of Hong Kong standards. I enjoy the crispy tofu and rice dishes. They also serve dim sum. However, there is a lack of green vegetables, which may be due to our early morning visits. View all feedback.
We come here few times especially in the morning, because not many choices for other veg restaurant open at 8 am. The food just average, the price is match with the food as Hongkong standard. I like the skin tofu and the rice. They have dimsum also. No green vegetables, probably we come in very early breakfast time ?
Do not eat here. Had msg blobs in the rice which made my tounge numb then They overcharged me by $30 and argued over the price. The food was terrible. Do not eat here!!!!!!
I ate here last night as I was in the area. Note that the hours listed on the page are not entirely accurate. Restaurant closed at 10am on Saturday instead of 11am. Everything OK! The staff doesn't speak English but a nice man at a nearby table helped us when we had questions. The menu is a little confusing as there are pages titled 'Vegetarian Choices' so we thought only those pages could be vegetarian which creates some confusion. The nice man nearby explained that the whole restaurant is vegetarian, the menu just had strange headings. We ordered three dishes for two vegetarian ham balls with veg, black pepper grilled steak, rice with pine nuts. The dishes were ok although not overly flavorful. The menu is very fake meat heavy but because I was with a non-veg friend it was okay as an exotic experience for him. Overall, okay price and good food if you're in the area. It's not worth getting out of the way.
I had a meal here. It took about 30 minutes to make a simple beancurd aubergine dish that was not well cooked and no spices were used. They didn't speak English and I was asked a much higher amount than the menu (also the service charge,), probably because I'm a foreigner. I will never go to this restaurant again.
Great food, wide range of choices and reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
