We came for dinner without a booking but were happily dealt with by the staff. It was a busy night but our food came out reasonably timed. We had calamari, steak and lamb cutlets all great. If you book ask for a seat near the windows as the restaurant has some excellent views over smaller islands. read more.

"Two meals , one evening and one picnic lunch were prepared for our group of 18 plus locals. An amazing $15 per head was charged for a buffet style meal catering for all food types. Three mains, three salads, bread and rice were on the table. It was an amazing gourmet experience. The lunch was similarly well prepared with a range of offerings suitable for a day at the beach. Both meals included a sweet and were elegantly prepared."

"My favourite place to eat in the island. Friendly service, huge portions (perfect after a long hike), excellent size serves of veggies, and just excellent consistency across the diverse menu means full ticks from me. What more could your want from a country pub?! Try the crumbed cutlets and the eggplant parma if you're struggling to decide. But it's all good!"

"We stopped at the freckle cafe for lunch and after waiting 45 minutes with still no food we went elsewhere. The pub had finished lunch but recommended we go to the sports club. The room had about 25 people in it. It was a bit dated, but the views are spectacular, ocean, golf course and islands. We had a wallaby burger and fried chicken. both very tasty. Went to go back the next day, but only open for lunch 2 days week. Also do pizza at night on weekend but we left on Thursday."

"They do a nice coffee and quite a nice variety of different sweets as well as a good choice of breads. a lot of locals seem to go there so there is always someone to have a chat to about the Island. Highly recommended."
