We came for dinner without a booking but were happily dealt with by the staff. It was a busy night but our food came out reasonably timed. We had calamari, steak and lamb cutlets all great. If you book ask for a seat near the windows as the restaurant has some excellent views over smaller islands. View all feedback.
I came here on the off-chance for a Sunday lunch. I saw salt and pepper squid on the menu, so ordered that as it's a firm favourite and when done well, just delicious. Much to my surprise it came as a whole piece, opened up, on cooking, and looked amazing. Great chips and a lovely will dressed salad accompanied it. The squid was super tender and the spicing perfectly done. Is now the BEST salt and pepper squid EVER. In my, very fussy, opinion. Please give it a go. Nice beer and a lively atmosphere in the bar as well. Glad I came here.
Just spent 2 nights at the tavern....The meals were good ,beers cold and staff friendly ,but thats where it ended!.The Decking around the Tavern is quite dangerous with rotting/bowing timbers in places. The room we stayed in had -No Airconditioning/No fly wires on windows.......and you could not drink the tap water only bottled water. We left the rooms with probably half a pint of blood on the walls from squashed mosquitoes keeping us awake at night!House keeping was very poor with not-Changing towels. No extra toilet rolls. No replacement bottle of water. No replacement pc soaps...Sadly ,we were more than disappointed with the room .We did ask a staff member about the room etc and the answer was 'Yes,thats right ,the rooms hasnt been finished properly with updating yet but managment needed the bookings anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stopped in for lunch on a trip around the island. Pleasantly surprised by the service, friendliness and good food at a reasonably price. Didn't have any seafood but the people at the table next to us did and it looked very good. Great outlook over the water as well. Very nice
When you dine here ask about the local wallaby and mutton bird! The seaford is very special, they do there own scallops.
