Despite some mixed experiences with the food, service, and management, loyal customers were always drawn back by the delicious offerings such as the salmon, tuna tartare, smoky groats, and cous cous. The restaurant was praised for its unique menu, with dishes like the duck breast, key lime chicken, and flank steak receiving high marks. The cozy outdoor seating and efficient waitstaff also added to the overall enjoyable dining experience. Although there were some disappointments such as the rushed service during New Year's Eve and the closure of the restaurant, patrons will fondly remember the good times they had at Yankee Pier.
My wife and I are regulars at this restaurant, to the point where the bartender knows my wife's favorite cocktail and the waitstaff warmly greets us. We always request a booth by the kitchen when we make a reservation, and our request is usually accommodated. However, on our visit last Friday night with two other guests, we were informed that the manager, who is fairly new, was saving the booth for his friends. We were seated at a table that was not as comfortable or quiet as a booth. About 15 minutes later, the manager's friends arrived and were seated at the booth, despite there being just two of them. The manager spent 10-15 minutes sitting with them, neglecting his regular customers. This experience left me feeling angry and my meal was essentially ruined.
Except for my wife’s scallops, the food and service were good. The scallops did not seem fresh. A little noisy for our taste. Disappointed that they do not have Hafner Chardonnay any longer.
My wife and I were regulars we had dinner on either Friday or Saturday almost every week. We loved the fish and the fresh vegetables. The service was almost always wonderful.
Good food, good service and good location with reasonable price.
Loved Yankee Pier, so sorry it has closed. We went there all the time for terrific fish.
