Stillwater River Cafe Restaurant Wine Bar

Beautiful restaurant in an old mill on the river. Ambiance was lovely, service exceptional and food simply the best I’ve had in Tasmania yet! Highly recommend the abalone, prawn potstickers and wallaby. Not the cheapest but worth every cent!

We have been to a lot of wonderful restaurants around Australia and would place this in our top group. Such a wonderful evening lovely food; sitting in a beautifully renovated flour mill on the Tamar River. Staff were amazing even provided a little tasting of a local wine when we asked for suggestions on which wineries to visit while in Launceston. Fabulous.

The meal was absolutely delicious! The staff were extremely friendly and made my birthday celebration a truly special experience. I am so glad I chose this place. Everything was fantastic and I will definitely be returning in the future.

The tasting menu with wine was exceptional. The wine pairings were spot on and the dishes were perfectly balanced. It couldn't have been any better!
