My wife's uncle aunt who live nearby took us here for lunch what a treat. It was just warm enough in the autumn sunshine to sit out in the lovely, tree shaded garden (although the inside looked great too). We ordered from the Menu,...a lovely creamy mushroom veloute to start and a smooth panna cotta for desert. BUT... the main event was a fantastic Daube de Boeuf. What Anđela Kovačić doesn't like about Chez Thome:
Cadre sympa. Service très long. View all feedback.
A really nice night with great food, the venerable service and a beautiful place. A really great place to come. They sorted me out of a vegetarian option, although they were not one on the menu and it was delicious. Would recommend
This restaurant is so special. Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere inside and outside. While you eat, you can hear the soft cooing of pigeons held in the garden. Very romantic. A beautiful place for a wedding reception.
All the different meals chosen (we were 11 were delicious, big choice (meats, fishes etc... , kids loved it as well. As the plates cost roughly the same price, you feel free to chose. Good quantity, deserts are fine too. It's a family restaurant for a...long time, and poss to eat under the shade on the terrace starting spring. Don't forget your Game of bowls and jack!, for after lunch.

So much rich flavour that I'm going to have to use the word unctuous. Sorry but that's how it is. Coupled with buttery pomme puree as smooth James Bond's shaving cream. But tastier. I do love a daube de boeuf and I'd say this was the best to date. Everyone else enjoyed their food too but I didn't really notice. Mmmm.
