We arrived here on a wet Tuesday off-season (hardly a good start) and discovered the Bodega. The decor is themed on bullfighting, the atmosphere is good and the welcome is warm. Our kids ate all of the tapas we ordered (despite having a very fussy eater). The food was tasty, well portioned and it arrived promptly. The waitress was helpful and knowledgable. We had a thoroughly decent Tapas lunch including 3 deserts fo... View all feedback.
What Sweetali S doesn't like about Bodega el Flamingo:
We came with the family and our little girl . We had reserved with a baby chair. Upon arrival we got told thats a big baby ... no suggestions no nuts . The table behind us got both we got nothing . On the card you find zarzuela which we love . But they dont serve it anymore. The food itself is delicious . Tapas are great. Try the camembert if you love that. We felt not welcome during our stay . Great find, all boxes ticked. Good food, delightful service (Jamille)?, fabulous vibe. You must try the white sangria and work through the tapas menu. The house was packed the night we ate but the chef and staff were well up to the task. Will visit again next time we're over, near Leucate.
Shared a traditional mixed paella.Prawns, squid, chorizo sausage etc.Served lovely and hot in the pan.A lovely white sangria. The restaurant has a very varied menu, including tapas, and ala carte. There is a garden restaurant for warm weather, and an enclosed section part. The theme of the restaurant is traditional Spanish bullfighters. The lighting in the garden terrace restaurant really adds to the ambiance, which is a constant changing colours, theme.Quite an exciting place to visit, and look forward to sampling more of the extensive menu.Booking is essential. My wife and I visited on Good Friday 14 04 2017.The restaurant was full.
We have never been treated so horribly by anyone in the service industry. We felt like we were intruders and more than unwelcome. The waitress (small with dark blonde hair) was disgustingly rude to not only our table but to all the tables around and even to her fellow employees. My girlfriends avocado salad had no avocado, we were not provided cutlery, we were ignored to the point that we had to fetch our own from the service station, when we tried to pay for our meal our money was snatched out of our hands. I would not wish my enemies to eat here and be treated in the same way.
Family of 6, 3 generations, enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food of this colourful restaurant in Leucate. Toreadors and Matadors featured in huge posters and the food was excellent.
Had a lovely meal here. Great tapas and wine. The staff were busy but were attentive. We were in the charming courtyard which added to a great night.
