Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. I ordered the trio of lamb, while my dining companion chose the cioppino. Both dishes were exceptionally prepared and beautifully presented. Our waiter was knowledgeable and professional throughout the evening. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced. I'll definitely be returning, as I've found my new favorite restaurant in this part of Maryland. View all feedback.
What Dave dislikes about The Tides Restaurant:
This restaurant seems more focused on taking your children's money than providing quality service. The service was slow, and a group of 16 prom-goers was an hour late to their event. They ended up spending two hours in the restaurant, and it took over an hour for the food to be served. View all feedback.
Great French press and bread is very fresh, wonderful pastries. Cozy outside area and great live music.
We stopped in The Tides Inn Market for gelato during the Potomac River Festival, and what a lovely little place! The exterior doesn't look like much at
Being from NYC I'm used to eating some really amazing food.

To add to our disappointment, we were informed that they had run out of lobster, yet we saw other guests being served lobster shortly after that. When our food finally arrived, some of the dishes were cold, undercooked, and lacked flavor. I should mention that our group was all African American, which added to our feeling of being overlooked. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with the service, and we did not receive any apology for the long wait or for the subpar food we were served. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
