Au Roy Des Gueux - Lille

We stopped there at the ocassion of braderie de Lille. It's a nice place in Lille's "pub district". Waiters were very friendly and food was good. My moules frites in maroilles sauce were delicious (and portion was huge), but my boyfriend was bit disappointed with his steak (it wasn't well done as he ordered and it had too much creamy sauce). Overall good experience.

This restaurant is just epic. The meals are very rich and use all the good ingredients from north of France / Belgium. They also know all about good beers. The ambiance is familial and very friendly. A must do in Lille !

It just happened over this place when we walked. it was calm when we arrived, but it was soon heaving and at the end all at the place, including ourselves, were mingling and the people danced on tables to a guy who played gitarre and singing. I don't think it was a typical night, but we were until midnight. 3 courses, including a tomahawk steak for pornstar was worth 30 euro and one night to remember.
