Late lunch here was terrific. We enjoyed French onion soup, salads, burgers, and a cheese plate. The menu also featured some seafood, lamb, pasta dishes, and more. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We had a seat near the open window and could hear and watch the music festival in the park across the street. What Johnathan Bbosa dislikes about Restaurant D'Orsay Pub:
Don’t expect the food taste good— too salty we ordered the seafood chowder, sooooo salty! Steak isn’t favoured enough, seafood plate is soooooo salty too. The onion ring is over fried However the chicken wing is very good! View all feedback.
Restaurant D'Orsay pub is situated between city hall and Notre Dame Basilique-Cathedrale. Behind Cardinal Taschereau's statue, you'll see the pub on the corner (heading towards Old City/ Chateau Frontenac). The items to order are paella and Pasta di Mare (seafood). It's more expensive than most, due to the location, but worth the cost of seating for a date.
Had dinner at D'Orsay with our 3 teenage kids. The menu had lots of variety. My son had the pork chop which he loved. My husband and I shared the paiella...it was delicious. The fish and chips were also deliciously. The window tables are beautiful.
The environment is nice. And the "plus" are over. Let's say the "minus": The food was scarcely acceptable: one cannot choose the grading of the meat (rare / medium / well done are unknown words: the waitress said one cannot choose), the pasta was awfully sweet (not a single spoon of salt had been used in cooking), the paella was tasteless. The service was very slow and did not care much about us and directly asked for a tip: I well understand that tips are their salary, but doing nothing, really nothing and asking for a tip is too much (in my opinion).

As for prices - entrees and desserts for 3 people came to $90 (Canadian) - a bit pricier than some places but not luxury or fine dining.
We made a reservation and got a nice table by the window. Our server was very friendly and helpful. My wife ordered the mussels and got enough for two. Myy pork chop with a honey and mustard glaze was great.
