Aconselho.
The place itself is amazing, has a beautiful view and is not crowded or loud, a perfect place to chill, relax and have long talks. The service is a bit slow but who cares if e everything around is so charming.
17/6/23 Friday early evening drinks We three middle aged guys were visiting a friend in Lisbon and he took us here to see the view away from the crowds and have a drink. We arrived around 6pm to find it quite busy with no spare tables or deck chairs. It was quite windy and other parts of the terrace had groups hanging around socially drinking their own drinks from shops. The atmosphere was good though. Thankfully a couple left a table which we grabbed and collected more spare chairs for all four of us. The table has a parasol which kept the harsh sun off part of us. The sun was low but still hot that day. The clientele were mixed locals and expats in the know as this is well off the tourist trail. I went to the kiosk and ordered a mix of 25cl standard beer in glasses and bottles of dark Sagres beer which is much tastier and relatively cheap compared to the plastic cups (they nearly blew away in the wind when a quarter full! . The dark 330ml Sagres was €1.70 and the plastic 250ml cup was €1.40. The full price list is on the image. We spent about an hour there having a second round of drinks. The view is largely obscured by trees but that helps keep the wind at bay! Some of the deck chairs further along had better views. A lot of tables were locked up which was self defeating and not good for their business! The photo of the view is from the far corner (on the other pictures and includes the suspension bridge and Jesus.
Much quieter than the other viewpoints of Lisbon, but with a equal superb view over Lisbon. With a small coffee shop to serve you snacks or drinks. A must!
