Restaurante Costa - Lisboa

It is a small restaurant with typical portuguese cuisine. The food is very good and the service is very nice. Also excellen price. The portiona are very generous. In principle one portion is quite enough for two. Strongly recomended.

We decided to eat here our first night in Lisbon at the recommendation of our Airbnb host. He told us it was the best Portuguese restaurant in the city and it did not disappoint. The staff did not speak a bit of English and the menu was all in Portuguese so we just closed our eyes and picked a menu item from what I would guess was the 'Chef Recommendation ' section. My boyfriend end up with a rice seafood stew and I had a chicken seafood stew. Both were absolutely amazing. I forgot to mention the homemade bread, cheese, olives and tomatoes that was brought out before we even ordered food. We had the chocolate mousse for dessert. The service was very prompt and friendly despite the language barrier. All of that for under €30. I don 't think we could have had a better start to our trip! We 're already talking about going back before we head to our next destination.

Excelente 'Tasca ' no bom sentido da palavra. Ambiente familiar e para familia. Comida muito bem confecionada, muito bem servida. Serviço atencioso e eficaz. Excelente relação preço qualidade. Recomendo e repito.

Froim outside the building where this restaurant is located will pu you off, but never judge something by its package: the interior is pristine and well layed out. As for the food: top portuguese cuisine at very reasonable prices: around 12€ per person for a dish and a desert, I really think for the price the quality is unbelievable, I am a native Lisboner and ca really tell when a restaurant in my city excells my expectations which is the case with O retiro do chefe costa . My advice is just avoid those tourist traps at the downtown area and go to alcantara to this restaurant, I highly recommend.
