What Amanda doesn't like about The Village:
From passing by it looks like the kind of cozy place that?s going to have good hearty food, but that wasn?t the case. The cheeseburger was literally just that, which, fair, the menu doesn?t say there?s anything on it but it was surprising when the dish came, especially since the basic toppings you might expect were not even offered to add on. This is a must visit location when in Litchfield. Fantastic menu, full bar, excellent and knowledgeable staff The Village is a staple in this community!
Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful town green location. I started with a crock of chili, lots of ground beef and even more vegetables, topped with cheddar cheese and chives, served with the best cornbread ever. I then had two fried oyster tacos with a great spicy slaw and topped with a very yummy seafood romaulade sauce. Next, fried artichoke hearts that I loved but had to finish at home, I was too full. Debbie had some scrumptious clam chowder and a New York Sirloin cooked rare with fries. She liked it a lot. I really liked this restaurant, it was very busy but we got a great table in the bar area.
Consistently great!! For over 30 years, our family and friends have enjoyed our visits to The Village!!
The staff was great and the food so tasty. Perfect in house Fall desserts. I highly recommend!
Best burger I have ever had. Fried calamari was fresh and very tasty. Buffalo wrap was also excellent. Service was extremely friendly. I highly recommend this cute restaurant.
