Uncle Yu's at the Vineyard - Livermore

The chow mein and steamed rice at this restaurant were excellent. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the meat was delicious. I enjoyed the addition of tomatoes, which added a unique flavor and texture. The steamed rice was also cooked perfectly. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Uncle Yu's did not live up to expectations tonight. The Wagyu Beef with Aged Orange Peel was soggy and the Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables tasted old. The Brown Rice was decent, but overall the meal was disappointing and overpriced. This was unexpected from Uncle Yu's.

The restaurant was extremely overpriced for what we got. The Chow Mein had very little beef, was dry, and lacked seasoning. The portion size was also very small. On the other hand, the crab meat cheese puffs were tasty. There are better options available at this price point.

Lobster Shumai (4) had no consommé, completely plain. Fried Rice container was only 1/2 full. Usually it is completely full. Paying these higher prices, I expect to receive the same quality of items as I did prior to the prices being increased. Instead the quality has gone down. Very disappointing because I love this place.

I hosted a team of 4 people from the city and they thought that eating and the environment were excellent.
