Verran's Espresso And Food - Liverpool

I had coffee with my wife at this beautiful, charming hidden gem. The decor is nice, the prices are reasonable, and the service is pleasant. We definitely have to come back again.

We have visited this café several times. This particular visit was for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Despite the time being close to 3pm, there were still plenty of food options available on the counter and on the menu, which we greatly appreciated as many other cafés tend to have limited offerings at that time. Our group ordered a variety of items from the menu, some cakes from the display case, and hot drinks. The coffee enthusiasts in our group were particularly impressed by the quality and temperature of the coffee. I opted for a hot chocolate, a beverage that I am picky about and often disappointed by in other cafés. However, this time I was not let down. The hot chocolate came in a bowl, was perfectly hot, had a fantastic taste, and was served with a chocolate fish on the saucer and mini marshmallows in the bowl, making for a delightful presentation. The only minor downside of this café is that the restroom facilities are a bit unpleasant, located outside and down a few steps. However, this is the only negative aspect I have to mention about this café.

This coffee shop in the suburbs is fantastic. I visited around midday and had one of the best meals and coffees during my stay in Auckland. I had to come back a few days later to try more items on the menu. Everything I ordered was delicious. The coffee was also amazing. The service was friendly and efficient.

We visited several times a number of years ago and always enjoyed our visits. However it now appears to be under new ownership/management and our visit was disappointing. It is very hard to write a review. The service was dreadful. No one showed us to...a table, we had to ask if we needed to go to the counter, but when told a waiter would take our order, we then had to wait for ages. And the food and coffee were mediocre!
