Contribute FeedbackBengal Clipper is a spacious restaurant located near Tower Bridge, offering Indian cuisine that received mixed reviews. While some found the food to be underwhelming and overpriced, others enjoyed the tasty dishes at reasonable prices. The service was efficient and the staff were friendly, but some dishes fell short of expectations. Overall, Bengal Clipper may be worth a visit for special occasions, but it might not become a regular spot for those seeking top-quality Indian meals south of the river.
My partner and I were looking for an Indian meal somewhere a bit quieter and stumbled across this restaurant-the interior is supposed to look like the inside of a ship, however the decor really does need updating to move with the times. Food wise it was tasty-the menu was simplified compared to the pages you get in other indian restaurants, I had chicken tikka Bombay aloo and pilau rice, the food was quite rich and creamy-it tasted nice but definitely not the place to go if you are looking for a light meal. I would come back again but the decor definitely needs modernising.
Been coming here for many years, it is always reliably fantastic. No piano these days but the ambience is good nonetheless. Great service too, always make an effort to be really friendly and welcoming.
This place has gone down hill in quality of food and in hygiene, especially for a restaurant! I would not eat here anymore or recommend this place. The staff are rude and the service is poor and takes ages. The food is overpriced especially for...
Food in the main was excellent and decent sized portions, only real gripe was the service which was on slow side, mains order not even taken until we had virtually finished starters.
If your ever along the river and fancy a curry the Sunday buffet at the Bengal Clipper can not be missed,it’s very good, the only downside is it’s only from 12 to 4,but worth a visit.
