Contribute FeedbackBalans restaurant in Soho offers a lively atmosphere perfect for a boozy evening or a pre-theatre meal. While the food may be a bit overpriced for the quality, the live music and authentic atmosphere make for an enjoyable experience. However, service can be slow and inconsistent, with some customers experiencing issues such as incorrect orders and long wait times. Despite some shortcomings, the friendly waitstaff and cozy ambiance make Balans a recommendable option for those looking for good French food in the area.
High recommended for breakfast. balan was really nice to breakfast. the food was really delicious (especially the crumb! and the service was great. the coffee was strong and honest to be nothing to blame.
The breakfast martini ended on a beautiful round taste of bitter jam and as its against cocktail was really good. we have already noted the pancakes and the French torte for a return visit. but in the meantime, if they are in the mood for eier, I would say give balans a try.
My whole favorite place to meet friends and eat a cocktail. eat always satisfied and personal are friendly
We had a great evening at Balans and Richard was our excellent server!!! he didnt skip a beat! our cocktails kept coming and they were delicious!! Thank you Richard for reminding me how fabulous London can be!!
I used to visit Balans quite a lot a few years ago and always found the food good. However today was a big 'fail '. I arrived for breakfast with a friend. The waiter was a nice guy and as I couldn 't see any Vegan food on the breakfast menu, I asked if they had a Vegan breakfast? He replied yes and I awaited its delivery. All I can say is that it was a failed attempt at food. One mushroom, half a tomato, a splodge of baked beans and some chopped fried potatoes, three... I don 't know what to call these... breaded sausage type things all topped off with a slice of toast which arrived with a butter tub on top, which was quickly whisked away and not replaced. I presume they had no dairy alternative. Bland... wasn 't good enough for this effort. Though the price charged was reflective of many expensive eateries in the Soho area. To be honest I would have got a better breakfast at a transport cafe on the M1 for a third of the price. Balans you failed.
