Very good service and perfect place for excellent pizza/pasta. Quiet euro music playing in background made for unpretentious authentic Italian vibe. Almost felt like being on holiday. Would definitely visit again. View all feedback.
What mwekera doesn't like about La Gioconda Pizzorante:
Very busy restaurant. The food was Ok but nothing special. The seafood dishes seemed the best, and although we didn't order any, the pizzas looked good. Staff were very busy and rushed and made several mistakes on our bill. View all feedback.
Had delicious food, the medium pizzas are a generous size. The starters were great too. It was obvious that the restaurant is popular with the locals and I can see why. The waitress was lovely and the service was with the right amount of... attention and great knowledge of the menu. I loved it!
This place used to be wonderful! Last 2 order were pretty bad cutting corners with ingredients (for ex. burrata was cheap mozzarella. Truffle was nonexistent. and more. And still very expensive. Sadly it's a no from us for...
We live close and we have been there for take away but also for dine in. Lacated on main road is not very easy to see it. Inside is very rustic but feels like home. Menu is enough wide to have multiple choices on what...to have but easy understandable. Food is all great and most of the dishes (not all of them) are very close to Italian culture. Price surely worth portions and quality. Friendly and easygoing service was perfect for the concept of the place. Must go.
For those who know what a real fresh pizza should taste like, this is the place for you. Out of the dozen or so times that I have visited this establishment, I have never once been disappointed with either the smiling and helpful service or the quality of Italian... cuisine served. Each pizza is made just to perfection with the finest, freshest punches. In terms of value for money, this gets my A as well.
We went here Thursday night as it was a couple of doors away from the pub. Lovely quirky little intimate place, with rustic decor, excellent service, and excellent food. The pasta portions were large and very tasty and the cost reasonable. The waitress was so...friendly and made our evening chatting to us. My only suggestion is that they do more choice of pasta dishes for vegetarians as only two, but it seems pizza is their main business. I believe they do takeaway Mon-Thur for £7 for any dish which is excellent value for high quality food.
