Locale - East Dulwich - London

The booking was made last minute as we needed to find something in E Dulwich which wouldn't be noisy on a Sat night but which was good quality grub. Locale served us well, we ate in buzzy but not loud surroundings. I was surprised at just how quiet it was for a Sat night. The food was good quality and tasty, though servings could have been a bit more generous. We had a gnocci, ravioli and a spaghetti/meatballs pasta. The menu provides a good range of dishes.The service was a little slow, though very pleasant and relaxed. I came away feeling that Locale doesn't quite know what it wants to be, bar, cafe, italian restaurant, place for roast and Sunday lunch? It didn't wow but it was a pleasant place to eat with friends.

Really found the staff here very attentive and friendly. The food whilst it is standard Italian fare is of good quality

Set menu on Valentine meant the vegetarian option was limited. Food excellent value with good service. Need to try again on a normal weekday in the near future before a valid review can be made.

Four of us enjoyed a relaxed meal here on Saturday. The servings were generous and tasty and apart from the risotto we would all be happy to have the dishes again. We were in quite early (7pm) and the staff were clearing up from a big party so the atmosphere was a bit quiet but it warmed up over the next couple of hours. I will be happy to eat here again.

As ever the food at locale in east dulwich was really good. However the service which is normally really good too, was a bit flat on this night. All the staff seemed in a bit of a grump and the service was slow considering how few people were there. Great for kids though.
