Walked by this spot while staying nearby during a business trip to London and glad that I did! Nice atmosphere, music, and calming setting. The staff were very welcoming and kind and service was excellent. I tried the beef gyudon, which was flavorful and the beef was tender and delicious. I hope to come back to try the sushi! One of the oldest japanese restaurants in London, and the main clients here were Japanese. Apparently the restaurant has a good reputation within the Japanese society here. The service was excellent, quick and very friendly. The food was japanese cuisine with a western twitch. We tried lots of different dishes... some were good, but there were also some misses. Are good and delicious! but the service is not very good, especially the waitress with long hair and big eyes. she was rude and made me uncomfortable. I hope it will be improved.
Just a short post on the curse to say that so japanese in soho is long and remains my favorite spot for unpretentious, begehbar, excellent worth sushi, sashimi co watch theshow slide 3-4 warwick street, london w1b 5ls. tel:. 020 7292 0767.
The foie gras rice dish was not as good as I expected. not particularly good value for money, but acceptable quality for Japanese food in Europe. service was ok personal was nice, but very careless. I gave the bill when we had just finished our ancestors! it felt as if they rushed us, although we had previously booked the tables were close enough that they could hear other talks without trying. Don't think we're coming back.
We had a great business lunch in So, great selection to choose and all the hearty things that Japanese cuisine has to offer were on the menu. Definitely recommended!
