Sree Krishna is a firm favourite of mine when it comes to the curry scene in Tooting. It has long had a great reputation and for good reason The cuisine originates from Kerala, which boasts the accolade of being the spice capital of the world. So of course, the restaurant offers flavoursome dishes (at a good price). The service is always extremely attentive and the staff are more than happy to give recommendations on... View all feedback.
What Jordy Jerde doesn't like about Sree Krishna:
sree krishna specializes in the Keralan tariff, and for the net we had a huh, lamb and came, but I must confess, none of them stood out especially. while the chicken was particularly juicy, the sauce was quite average – mild with tough aromas. the lamb was similarly simple (i.e. another recommendation of the staff) and while we knew what should be expected of the frit, the seasoned did not blow us away. the best of t... South indian is my favourtie style of indian cuisineThis place islovely and the atmosphere si friendly and homely.
Cheap friendly, but disappointing. Online reviews have let us choose sree krishna, but it is not true with most positive comments. onion bahji were not fresh and also tiny, one of the main curry was watery and quite hot, if should be mild. saag aloo was dry, completely tasteless and looked terrible on the positive note that the kokosparatha was to die for the best we have ever tried. bill came to £40 for two including a decent bottle of red wine. Overall, I would not be sure that I would give him another chance than many options in the opposite.
Fantastic! I had lunch at this restaurant yesterday (20/03/11). The inside was very clean, with linen tablecloths and napkins. The staff were friendly and well-dressed. We decided to order from the regular menu instead of the Sunday special that everyone seemed to be getting. The prices were a great deal at 8.95 for meat dishes and 6.95 for vegetarian options. I will definitely try to visit again next time I'm in the area. The food was excellent, especially the poppadoms and chutneys - the chutney was delicious! The crispy coated cashew nuts, shrimp, chicken biryani, chicken dopiaza, coconut rice, and paratha bread were all of great quality and beautifully presented. The soft drinks were a bit expensive, but we still ended up ordering more.
