St John Bar Restaurant Smithfield

This restaurant is top-notch in every way. Getting to taste their dishes is a real delight. I've been there four times now, even though I don't live nearby. The service is exceptional and the overall experience never fails to impress. I recently celebrated my 50th birthday there, traveling all the way from Leicester for the occasion.

I visited this highly popular restaurant for the first time and it exceeded all of my expectations. My partner and I had been wanting to dine here for quite some time, so we finally made a reservation for my birthday. The food was outstanding (definitely try the bone marrow, it's delicious!), the wine pairings recommended by our waiter were spot on, and the lamb shank I ordered as my main dish was cooked to perfection. The dessert was fantastic, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was great as well. I left very satisfied and will definitely be returning soon!

I’ve been lucky enough to have been a guest here since it first opened. It is imho the most important and most enjoyable restaurant in the country. Its legacy reaches all corners of the restaurant world and dining here is an experience which continues to surprise and even get better.

I’m never disappointed here. The bone marrow is a delight.

Tremendous British food. A unique atmosphere. Everyone who visits London should eat at St John.
