This vibrant pub in Spitalfields is located in a beautiful Victorian building. The service is fast, friendly, and cheerful. They have a fully stocked bar with delicious snacks to complement their craft ales. The rooftop garden is fantastic, especially on sunny days! View all feedback.
What Irene Knoll doesn't like about The Culpeper:
After seeing the reviews we were looking forward to a great roast. Unfortunately to be honest it was one of the worst I have ever had. The gravy was literally instant (super thin and no flavour) and I am fairly certain the potatoes were frozen. The lamb was mostly fat and to top it off one of our party is sick after the meal (not the first review mentioning this) Saving grace were the friendly staff and nice interior... View all feedback.
Food was fantastic, really tasty and great veggie roast option! The staff were all super friendly and seemed to have everything under control. It's also a really beautiful building!
Lovely atmosphere, service and food was exquisite. Really enjoyed overall and will go again!
The Bavette roast was outstanding the service was fab. Also loved how quiet it was! It seems almost impossible to find a restaurant that you can hear yourself speak in these days. The atmosphere was on point. The only thing that stopped me marking 5/5 was the desert, it was a little bit lack lustre in comparison the main meal. Otherwise a very enjoyable Sunday evening, thank you.
We sat in the greenhouse and it was great made even better by the German waiter he was so Funny and Charming .... I forget his name but he told us jokes and really made Us feel very special and welcomed ! Well done we will Be back
