I dined at this restaurant with a friend, expecting a good meal. However, we found our waitress to be overly familiar and talkative, preventing us from enjoying our time together. She got our order wrong and did not offer to fix it. She then became less friendly and the service was sporadic. We decided to end our meal early after finishing our main course. The food, including the mixed starter and Springbok main dish, was of mixed quality. Overall, it was a very negative experience and I recommend trying another restaurant in the area instead.
This new restaurant nested in the heart of the Westfield restaurant terrace offers you a wide diversity of meats and wines... You may say, that was to be expected when looking at the name of this restaurant. But I must admit, I was not disappointed when I stepped in with pregnant wife craving for a red juicy steak... The menu offered us the choice of English and South African matured sirloin, rib eyes, and even some exotic game meat, from all the way up to I personaly went for the largest rib eye steak and loved it boneless). Perfectly cooked. My wife went for the skewer and almost licked the stick in absence of a bone:)The downside of this restaurant is probably the posh atmosphere inherent to any so-called wine bar. And the price tag that goes along. So yes the atmosphere is probably one of the most high end in the whole food alley, and the international wine list is amazing, but still it is a bit salty, and hard to swallow.Nevertheless if you are after a clean, modern restaurant to tuck your teeth in a high quality piece of meat, that is your new venue.
Located in the heart of the restaurant terrace at Westfield, this new restaurant offers a wide variety of meats and wines. The restaurant's name may have set high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised when I dined there with my wife. The menu features English and South African sirloin, rib eyes, and even exotic game meats ranging from 100g to 500g. I opted for the boneless breast-eye steak (400g) and it was perfectly cooked to my liking. My wife enjoyed the spits and practically licked her plate clean. The ambiance of the restaurant is upscale, resembling a sophisticated wine bar, with prices to match. While the atmosphere is top-notch and the international wine selection is impressive, the prices may be a bit steep for some. Overall, if you're looking for a modern, high-quality steakhouse experience, this restaurant is worth a try.
I dined at this restaurant with a friend, expecting a good meal. However, we found our waitress to be too familiar and talkative, when we were hoping for a chance to catch up. Despite overlooking this, she ended up getting our order wrong, but did not correct it when we pointed it out. She seemed disinterested in serving us properly and the service was sporadic. After finishing our main course, we decided to leave early due to the poor service. The quality of the food was average, with the mixed starter being the highlight and the main dish, the jumbok, being disappointing. Overall, it was a very negative experience and I would suggest trying one of the many other restaurants in the area instead.
