What Lilly Mitchell doesn't like about The Village Somali Cuisine:
This meal was the best meal I’ve had in this place , but to be fair it’s the only meal I’ve had their and never tried anything else. I’ve been a customer for almost 6 years,but when they tried convincing me that this chicken that was full of oil and partially burned on some place was actually made like that well, I guess that was it for me. Food and drinks were all 10/10. It was a pleasure introducing my traditional food to my none Somali friends. Especial thanks to the chef and the waiter, will certainly return again.
I quite liked the food my somali friend brought me here for authentic food as I had not had it before. One of their dishes was extremely spicy which I was not warned about I would have brought my mum to try it because it’s on her level of spice. The service was great although I do think they paid extra attention to my friend and I because I was a non somali so they wanted to make sure we had a good experience there.
The setting is quite simple, but the food is outstanding, authentic and quite reasonable, the staff are very friendly and very attentive.
Very good wholesome food. No frills but excellent food. Price very affordable. Goats cheese starter is a must. Amazing. Deco not much to write home about, customer service needs improving, but honestly the food more than makes up.
Very delicious Somalian food. Basic menu but everything on it was very good. It was a large group so we tested quite a few things. I had a lamb shank with the spaghetti which as awesome. If you are in the mood for authentic Somalian food at very reliable prices, this is the place to go.
