The service was excellent in Marylebone on a Saturday night, and the Thali had a wonderful balance of flavors. However, there was quite a lot for two people to share; the portion sizes were... View all feedback.
What EdithG dislikes about Woodlands:
The food was excellent but the service could have been better. Out of the three staff that were waiting on tables we happened to get the rather miserable faced lady. Just seemed liked she didn’t want to be there. View all feedback.
Came here with friends on a quiet Saturday lunchtime. A great selection of interesting dishes. Some were exceptionally good, all were tasty. Reasonably priced for central London.
Books, without knowing much about how it is convenient for the theater visit I had planned. very pleased. relatiw small menu, this is not a bad thing. the courts complement each other perfectly all the beside courts work well with the...choice of dosa. there are a few thali decisions that we had more time I would have liked to try. a bit underoccupied in the evening I visited, but the service was charming. very cheap and I will be very happy to return.
A tasty and varied selection of vegetarian dresses, among them sweets, mushroom chatinad, brown rice and yogurt. there is also a good choice of weeping etc.
I ordered the Hyderabadi aubergine, with a paratha. I hadn't expected a large portion of aubergine at but was nevertheless disappointed to find just how little I had been given (particularly since it is not listed as a small plate),although it came accompanied with...copious quantities of good sauce. My friend experienced similar disappointment with her thali, which again wasn't very filling and although the quality was acceptable it lacked many vegetables. We could of course have ordered more food, but this would have made it quite expensive. Neither of us have particularly large appetites, but we nevertheless retreated to a coffee shop for coffee and cakes.
We visited this restaurant as a family visit! So glad to find a South Indian Restaurant near to Piccadilly Circus. One glance at the menu my mouth was watering! Felt like ordering everything! But it being a cold day outside thought it was best to...order vada and hot Dosa with sambhar! Disappointed with the taste of sambhar and green chutney! The red chutney was much better compared to others! Vada was served with same accompaniment! Didn't feel like ordering anything else anymore! Desserts were good! Sadly not the best if you want authentic Indian!
