We visited to celebrate my boyfriends birthday last week. It was our first experience dining out, since quarantine, and were both a little anxious. The professionalism and care that Terroni took eased our worries, with strict enforcement of mask rules and wellspaced seating. The food was amazing, service was friendly and by the end of the night, we’re we’re stuffed and relaxed. We had a great time View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Terroni LA:
My hotel Hoxton recommended this restaurant. First I had difficulty in finding it, because in the dark, the restaurant name is not lit up.It's a huge restaurant and I was put on a table in a nearly empty area, but it was at Food was ok, service ok too, but the pasta was just put on my table and the waitress walked away without asking, if I want some parmesan cheese or pepper. I eventually managed to get the attention... View all feedback.
I've been to Terroni before and loved the spaghetti al limone. I wanted to try something new this time around and ordered from the brunch menu (Sat-Sun 10-3). There was no line when we arrived and was seated immediately. |LOCATION| The downtown location is elegant and has a nice corner view. The staff are all kind and knowledgeable of making recommendations. |PARKING| Street meter parking available and there is a lot across the restaurant for $5 |FOOD| The food quality is great. If you are a pasta lover I would definitely recommend the spaghetti al limone as I mentioned at the top! The seafood pasta was like any other seafood pasta but the flavoring was good! We will for sure be returning in the future.
Thanks To Romeo for always taking great care of me with food suggestions and wine. Everything has been amazing in flavor and service .. I've always tried to stay away from carbs but the portion isn't overwhelming or that filling. I leave feeling just right .. I've been craving pasta nearly every day now! All of the dishes have been so very tasty and flavorful with top ingredients. The finest cheeses and truffles and homemade sausage and sauces and with a touch unique blends of dandelion or bitter green.. I've tried 4 of pasta dishes in the past couple weeks I'll Be back to try to seafood pasta next ! Monday's half price off pasta ! See you manana!
Came here last night with some friends. They have valet for $8, street parking a might be hard to find since downtown can get hectic. The interior is beautiful, I love the ceiling and the decorations. The waitress was friendly and helpful, we told her what kind of wine we like and she was able to suggest an amazing bottle! We shared a couple appetizers, the fried calamari was just alright, but the duck prosciutto with burrata was sooo good! The burrata was fresh and went really well with the savory notes of the duck prosciutto. The Margherita pizza was really good as well, you can never go wrong with it. The highlight for me was the truffle pasta, the pasta was cooked al dente and the truffle was extremely fragrant. We also got the duck pappardelle that my friends really liked. For four people we ended up having to order one more dish, the lamb ragu that was also really good. We ended the meal with tiramisu and affogato, the affogato was super good with hazelnut gelato! Overall a great dining experience, the ambiance was on point and the food was pretty good!
This was our second stop on a date night in downtown LA, and I think it was good. But, good is not great. I was walking by this place the night before and it caught my eye because it looks so intimate and chic so I looked at the menu, it looked good and fairly priced and so we went. All those things remain true, it is well decorated to give a exclusive and luxurious atmosphere, the service was friendly and quick, and I thought the Italian dishes were intricate, exquisite flavors (truffle, braised short rib must be delicious) But that's where I think they fell a little bit short. We ordered the squid ink pasta with lobster, the octopus, and a seafood pasta. I thought the squid ink had a delicate flavor, even TOO delicate the lobster did not taste fresh it tasted frozen and then reheated. I'm easily impressed with scallops, with octopus with lobster because of course those are such delicious ingredients! But all of my favorites just didn't taste like restaurant quality, rather a prepackaged preflavored addition. Everything was very well played, my stomach never caught up with my eyes. Good, not great.
I met some old friends in DTLA for dinner. Terroni has caught my eye previously because it is always busy and has a good looking space. Our appetizers were excellent. I recommend the carpaccio and the grilled calamari for starters. My seafood pasta was good, but not as good as it looked. The seafood was a bit over cooked and the shrimp was mushy, but the sauce tasted great (even though I generally prefer seafood pasta with a simple olive oil and garlic). Dessert was good, but again not as good as it looked. Drinks were excellent. I had two negronis and a glass of wine. Service was friendly and patient, given that we talked a lot and lingered. So, a mixed bag for me. My friends enjoyed their dishes. Two of them had the lamb pasta, another got a prosciutto pizza. Terroni has a lot on their menu, so I would definitely come back and try some of the other dishes.
