This restaurant has amazing food. My husband and I loved it down to the very last morsel of food we could get down. We go back each time we are in Miami! FABULOUS!!! I can't say enough about it. View all feedback.
What Robert Popa Emil doesn't like about Joe's Stone Crab:
The sea food was horrible. The service ..... like McDonald's. They ask me to sign a blank paper to accept the payment with the card ........ I paid cash. Don't spend a lot of money in this crazy restaurant. View all feedback.
The short ribs were delicious. Fell right off the bone but still had a nice bite. The stone crab is served. I just don't like cold crab. But it was cooked nice nice flavor. The creamed spinach was delicious. I didn't care for the potatoes that came with Joe's meal.Food: 4/5
Joes is an institution which we looked forward to visiting. We arrived and were seated promptly and our server took the time to explain the menu. The food was good but I’m not sure was worth the price.
We are in Miami from LA and are used to bad service , but never before have we been bumped from reservation. As we were leaving for dinner they called and told us that they are canceling our reservation due to a water main break … and that they are closed … Was very suspicious, so at 7 we decided to pass by and of course the restaurant was open… the rudeness and the fact that our family of 4 had to find a new place to eat at the time when everything around was packed and booked !!! They are arrogant as heck !! and I will report this to Michelin , since they are so proud of it ! Disgusting.
Went to Joe's Stone Crab on Thursday, July 14th. We were excited to try this restaurant based on all the wonderful reviews. Sadly, it was the worst service we've had in a long time. For a party of 3 adults, our dinner reservation was for 7:30pm. We did not get seated until 8:00pm. I know, because I looked at my watch. So, after a 30min wait, we get seated. Couldn’t help thinking about the Seinfeld episode about how anyone can take a reservation...it's the holding (or in this case the seating of the reservation. ; Our server (which we had to first try and find , didn't come to our table for 10 minutes. When he finally came, we ordered our drinks, he served them, we asked for a gluten free menu for daughter (which he provided , and then walked away. Then, we sat for another 10 minutes and our server never came back. After another 10 minutes of our server not coming back, we finally decided we were not going to spend $300 $400 for bad service no matter how good the crabs are supposed to be. When we passed the hostess stand, my husband asked to speak to the manager because he was so irritated. The manager came out, and my husband explained to the manager what time our reservation was and said we had poor service, so we were leaving. The manager said he had the ticket and that we were served at 8:10pm. My husband said, do you think being served only drinks after 40 minutes from the reservation is acceptable? The manager replied...I don't know, I don't deal with the seating. :
100 year old+ restaurants that are “must gos” too often trade on their brand/name and deliver an underwhelming dinning experience. Joe’s doesn’t. This South Beach staple fully lives up to its reputation. The food is excellent, especially the signature stone crabs and key lime pie. The service is quick, thoughtful, and surprisingly personal given the size of the operation. 100% worth a visit when in the area
